Candlelight Concerts in the Algarve: music by candlelight

The Algarve is famous for its beaches, mild climate and laid-back lifestyle. But in recent years, it has also become home to something truly magical: the Candlelight concerts. These unique events bring live music surrounded by hundreds of candles, creating an intimate and unforgettable atmosphere.

A project with environmental awareness

Candlelight concerts are not only about music and magic. Thanks to a partnership between Fever and ERP Portugal (Waste Management Association for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment – WEEE – and Batteries – WB), these Algarve shows also carry a strong sustainable message.

The candles that light up each concert are made from recycled LED materials, helping to reduce waste and promote the circular economy. In addition, audiences are invited to bring VARTA used batteries, which are collected and sent for recycling.

This way, each concert becomes more than just an experience – it’s also a chance to raise awareness and engage the community in environmental protection, combining culture, innovation and social responsibility in one project.

The magic of recent years

Last summer, the Algarve hosted a variety of Candlelight shows that delighted visitors and locals alike. The intimate and elegant setting captured the essence of the series, offering memorable nights filled with emotion and sophistication.

Between 2024 and 2025, the Algarve hosted some of the most memorable nights of the Candlelight series. From timeless classics like Vivaldi and The Beatles to modern tributes to Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Queen and ABBA, each performance turned iconic venues into glowing stages of music and emotion.

2025 highlights

This year, the Algarve once again welcomed unforgettable Candlelight concerts:

• 15 August – Coldplay vs Imagine Dragons at Hotel Vila Galé Lagos.
• 16 August – The Best of Vivaldi and The Best of The Beatles at Pestana Vila Sol, Vilamoura.
• 5 September – Queen vs ABBA at Hotel Vila Galé Lagos.
• 6 September – another chance to enjoy Coldplay vs Imagine Dragons at the same venue.
